Gamma Phi Alumni Association Mission Statement

The Gamma Phi Alumni Association strives to create a support network for active brothers of the Gamma Phi Fraternity at Duquesne University. Members of the Association donate time, resources and experience for the betterment and never ending success of the Gamma Phi Brotherhood, ensuring preservation of the organization and its structure.

Vision
Our vision is to develop a solid and deep networking resource for prospective, active and graduating members of the Gamma Phi Fraternity. The Gamma Phi Alumni Association will serve as a third dimension for the fraternity, an important selling point for potential members to pledge the fraternity and a means for active brothers to gain the most possible from their fraternity experience. The Association will become a leverage tool for the fraternity with members, Duquesne University and the Pittsburgh business community.

Values
The core values for the Gamma Phi Alumni Association include brotherhood, friendship, creativity, integrity and responsibility.

Mission of the Gamma Phi Fraternity
Founded in the Catholic atmosphere of Duquesne University of the Holy Ghost, the Gamma Phi Fraternity serves God by fostering the academic, spiritual, and social development of its members. The Gamma Phi fraternity does not discriminate based on color, ethnic background, or religious beliefs. The Fraternity's goal is to instill a sense of brotherhood that shall last a lifetime.

Coat of Arms

Gamma Phi Crest

This is the Gamma Phi Coat of Arms, it is the essence on which the fraternity was built.

  • The hands are used to symbolize the brotherhood which the fraternity hopes to instill in all its members.
  • The scales represent Justice, an element that is often overlooked in this world but amongst its members the Brothers hold sacred.
  • The final portion of the crest is the heart, it symbolically represents Love and Fidelity, two things that the fraternity hopes to help each one of it members develop for life.
